  • Ginger Red Tea from Vietnam

This is one of the best ginger teas we've ever tasted.  Both the tea and the ginger are from a pristine high mountain area in northern Vietnam's Ha Giang Province.  The tea trees themselves are approximately 100 years old!

Ginger Red is very gingery on the nose.  The taste is smooth and very well-balanced with a wonderful heartiness coming from the tea.  There is a delicious lingering sweetness that coats the mouth after the tea cools a bit.  Overall it's a really lovely tea and a must try for ginger tea enthusiasts.

"Red tea" is the proper East Asian name for what we call "black tea" here in the States.   This is a black tea, highly caffeinated, using big leaf tea tree material.
