No. After 17 wonderful years of of having a restaurant (or two!), we shifted to ecommerce and wholesale in 2022.

Generally no. We are primarily an online shop so you can't really come in a browse as it's warehouse-like conditions and we don't have items out for browsing.

However, we do a pop up shop every second Saturday and several times between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

During our pop up shops we have lots of pre-packed teas and other items to shop from and of course you're welcome to pick up any already fulfilled orders that you have previously placed for local pick up. Please note that during our pop up shops, we cannot bag tea to order.

Local pickup for fulfilled orders is available Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 3 PM, and every second Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM.

We will have extra Saturday hours (10 am to 2 pm) every Saturday between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Please use Google to navigate to us and enter "The Steeping Room Online" rather than our street address. Once you're here, please note that the suite numbers are not sequential so look for our orange curtain in the door.

Yes! Please select local pick up when you're checking out. You will get an email letting you know your order is ready for pick up when it has been fulfilled.

We try to fulfill local pick up orders within one business day after the day you place your order. Sometimes it's faster than that, and sometimes it's slower, but we understand that you want your stuff and we want you to be happy so we work hard for a one business day turnaround time. During holiday periods and big sales, fulfillment will need more time.

We pack orders Monday through Friday and work really hard to fulfill mail orders and local pick ups very quickly. We know it's really important for you to get your items in hand quickly. On that note, if you choose ground advantage or free shipping, those can be rather slow transit choices but they certainly are cost-effective.

During most of the year, our goal is to fulfill mail orders within two business days after the day the order was received. During sales, promotions, and holiday periods in general we will need more time.

We do not generally pack teas on the weekends.

The easiest way to change or cancel your recurring tea or tea club subscription is by logging into your account (look for "login" in the top right of the homepage on desktop or in the menu on mobile). Once you're logged in, you'll see various ways to adjust or cancel your subscription under "manage subscription."

Generally speaking, an ounce of tea makes about 4 medium sized pots of tea, or approximately 10 cups of tea (depending on the size of your tea cup of course).

25 grams of tea is roughly the same, though 25 grams is just three grams shy of an ounce so it's ever so slightly less.
