I absolutely fell in love with this interesting tea from our friend Uday who lives high in the tea hills of Panchthar, Nepal. It is an organically grown (not certified) black tea scented with a local wild spice called Timur. Timur is often called a pepper but it is not a pepper or a chili. It is in fact a member of the citrus family and is related to Sichuan pepper.
The tea is a delicious experience and you might not really even know it has Timur in it except for the most delightful citrus quality that is very well balanced. Made in very small batches by a teamaker with decades of experience.
2025 Autumn production.
Ingredients: black tea, timur (Zanthoxylym armatum)
