Christmas Matcha by Marukyu Koyamaen - Seiya no Shiro

Grab a can of Marukyu Koyamaen's Seiya no Shiro matcha while you can - this special Christmas release is only around for a short time each year! Named "White of the Holy Night," it has sweet floral notes with subtle earthy depth and a creamy texture that moves from light astringency through savory umami to a sweet finish. The gentler profile pairs well with richer holiday foods and works beautifully for both thin and thick preparation, and it's also forgiving in matcha lattes.

Marukyu Koyamaen is a historic and extremely popular matcha company with a long list of first prizes and awards.  Founded in 1704 in Uji, Kyoto Prefecture, they are known for their consistently high quality matcha and their meticulous production methods.  

Choose between a 20 or 40 gram can.  A standard serving of matcha for usucha (thin tea) uses approximately 2 grams, while a serving for koicha (thick tea) or matcha latte uses approximately 4 grams.
