Moment Teapot by Konare (Light Grey)

This contemporary porcelain teapot brings modern minimalism to the morning tea ritual. Part of the "moment" series designed for daily use, it features a wide mouth opening that makes filling and cleaning effortless, paired with a stainless steel mesh basket that gives tea leaves room to unfurl and release their flavor. The comfortable side handle and clean cylindrical form reflect a thoughtful approach to everyday function.

The teapot holds approximately 400ml, enough for one to two servings. The removable stainless steel filter basket sits deep in the pot, allowing leaves to move freely during steeping. The flat lid fits flush with the rim, and the handle is shaped for a comfortable, balanced pour. This light grey version features a soft matte glaze that gives the porcelain a tactile surface. The teapot is also available with a cream toned glaze. 

One notable design feature requires attention: the spout is intentionally short and open, which means the pot pours with just a gentle tilt. This differs from traditional teapots with longer, more enclosed spouts. Pour slowly and avoid tilting too far to prevent tea leaves from flowing out or risk of spilling hot liquid.

KONARE is a factory brand from Shinzangama Yamatsu, a Mino ware ceramics maker in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, established in 1868. The workshop has specialized in white porcelain teaware for over 150 years.

Care Instructions

First use: Rinse with warm water and dry thoroughly.

Regular cleaning: Wash with warm water after each use. The teapot is dishwasher safe, though hand washing will extend its life. 

Not for use: Do not place on stovetop or direct flame.
