Masui's Mirai Withered Sencha
Mirai is a cultivar Masui-san bred on his own farm, and this sencha is crisp, sweet and light, with a soft floral note reminiscent of sakura. It's creamy, almost buttery, with a lively feel in the mouth and throat. An outstanding tea, and a pleasure to drink.
Masui-san is a fifth-generation tea farmer in Kawane, Shizuoka Prefecture. He developed Mirai from seedling of Shizu 7132 plants, a cultivar known for its sakura-like aroma, and named it after his daughter. He's been growing it since 1984.
