Kin no Uzu Matcha by Hekisuien 30g or 150g
Creamy, thick and approachable, Kin no Uzu is an everyday usucha and an excellent value. It whisks up with good foam and has notes of chlorophyll and toast, with a bit of bitterness and astringency held in the background. As a latte it keeps its matcha character in milk and turns lightly nutty and sweet.
Kin no Uzu means "golden swirl," a symbol of good luck. It's a step up from Chiyo no Sakae in the Hekisuien lineup.
Hekisuien has been making tea since 1867 and has been recognized as Kyō no Shinise (a long-established Kyoto business).
