Honeyed on the nose, in a way that recalls a Taiwanese Oriental Beauty Oolong. In the cup: spice, lemon, honey, and dark grape, finishing sweet and clean. Truly an outstanding tea at a great price.
Ruby Gold is made at the Jasbire Tea Factory in Ilam, eastern Nepal, where Sharad Subba processes leaf from about 79 farmers in his home village at around 6,000 feet. Certified organic and beautifully made.
