A 2003 spring pressing from Yiwu, commissioned by Canghai Tea House of Taiwan and stored in Taiwan dry conditions ever since. The plain white wrapper is somewhat typical of small private commissions from this era.
Twenty-two years of nice storage have concentrated the flavors considerably. Classic aged sheng on the nose — tobacco and camphor — with an orchid-like quality running through the cup. Both delicate and intense, well-made and well-stored.
