Wild White from Vietnam is an all bud white tea from wild growing camellia sinensis assamica trees in Yen Bai Province of mountainous northwestern Vietnam. The trees are cared for and harvested by ethnic minority families who live on the land. The tea steeps smooth, thick, and quite sweet with a captivating depth.
The tea was allowed to wither for an extended period of time - about 36 hours and was then oven dried. You'll notice the color of the leaves is grey-ish. That is partly due to the wild nature of the plant and also due to the fact that the extended withering means that the tea has undergone some oxidation.
We recommend steeping Wild White with 195 degree water. This batch of Wild White was hand plucked and processed in April 2019.
