Tsubokiri Matcha from Marukyu Koyamaen is a much anticipated seasonal matcha released in October through (hopefully) November. It's suitable for both thin (usucha) and thick (koicha). Tsubokiri is rich and velvety smooth, with deep umami flavor and a luxurious creamy, sweet quality. It's a soft, plush, luxurious matcha.
Marukyu Koyamaen is a historic and extremely popular matcha company with a long list of first prizes and awards. Founded in 1704 in Uji, Kyoto Prefecture, they are known for their consistently high quality matcha and their meticulous production methods.
