Silver Needle (Organic)
Silver Needle tea is pure ambrosia. So light and sweet with nary a hint of astringency. This is one of the great teas of all time and is a must try for any aficionado of tea. It is made with buds from a cultivar in the Fujian Province of China made just for this tea. The cultivar produces fat inch long buds with little hairs all up and down it that impart exquisite flavor to the tea. At one time the only people who got the privilege of drinking this tea were the Emperors and their family and entourage. Historians believe the Qing dynasty came to an end because their bureaucracy had become corrupt and enfeebled. We think an argument could be made that others wanted to overthrow them just to get access to Silver Needles.
Use 2 grams of tea for every 6 ounces of water. Generally this works out to 2 teaspoons per every 6 ounces of water. Steep for 3 minutes with 180-degree water.
