2024 Red Elephant - Black Tea from Laos
We're extremely pleased to be able to offer this gorgeous black tea from Laos, produced by the Kinnari Tea project. This is a sun-dried, hand-picked tea from old tea trees growing semi-wild in the Xaysathan District of Xayaboury Province. The teas from this particular area are distinct from other tea trees growing in Laos.
The taste is deep and rich. Notes of wildflower and cocoa, loads of malt, bakery spice, and wood. The aroma and depth of the tea come rushing out even upon opening the bag! This is a powerful tea, not particularly bitter or astringent.
2024 Harvest. No pesticides or chemical fertilizers were used on this tea.
