This green tea from Zhejiang Province steeps to an almost clear liquor with a flavor that's genuinely exceptional and hard to pin down. It's uniquely herbal with light floral touches and a vegetal character that brings bok choy to mind, along with a clean, watery deliciousness that's wonderfully refreshing. Notes of sugar snap pea emerge under wildflower aromatics, finishing with lingering sweetness. The wet leaf aroma is exceptionally interesting: a little floral, a little herby, and entirely compelling.
Made by tea master Pei Hongfeng from old heirloom tea bushes growing in a bamboo forest behind her home. The bushes share their hillside with bamboo and native trees between 3,300 and 4,300 feet, growing largely untended and naturally fertilized by falling leaves.
Early spring 2025 harvest. Free from agrochemical inputs.
