An organically grown green tea from northwestern Hunan, harvested in early spring 2025. The dry leaf smells like dried mango and sweet fruit. In the cup, it's fruity with notes of hard candy, a tingly brightness, gentle persistent umami, and soft astringency in the finish.
Pine needles (song zhen) is a traditional Hunan green tea style with a history stretching back several centuries. The name comes from the shape of the finished leaves, which are pressed and rolled into long, straight needles during the final stage of processing.
