Organic Osada Fukamushi Sencha Saemidori
A fukamushi style sencha from Osada Seicha, made from the Saemidori cultivar, a cross of Yabukita and Asatsuyu prized for its vivid green color and pronounced umami. The deep steaming yields a rich, full-bodied liquor with a lovely savory depth, a touch of bright lemon, and a toasty quality from the firing. Founded in 1947 and based in Mori-Machi, Shizuoka, Osada Seicha works closely with the farmers of the Isagawa Tea Agriculture Cooperative in Haruno, in the mountains of the Tenryu region, and has built a reputation for organic mountain-grown tea. The company is currently led by Natsumi Osada, a fourth generation tea master and 8th-dan national tea appraiser.
