Obukucha Gold from Marukyu Koyamaen is a premium seasonal matcha to celebrate the New Year. It stands out for its exceptional creaminess and velvety texture. When prepared as thick tea (koicha), it delivers a rich, smooth body, and as thin tea (usucha), it produces a mild, sweet bowl. This refined version is notably lighter and creamier than standard Obukucha, with a long and intense finish.
Marukyu Koyamaen, founded in 1704, is an award-winning producer of Uji matcha, recognized at the Annual National Tea Competition and with the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award.
A typical serving uses 2 grams for usucha (thin matcha) and 4 grams for koicha (thick matcha).
