Golden Peony Black Tea from Hunan

Golden Peony is a high value black tea from Hunan - really hard to believe it's so good for the price.  It's quite fragrant and expressive - not toasty or heavy.  Tasting notes reveal a warming fruit compote and honeysuckle with a soft buttery texture.    The original plants for this tea were transplanted from Fujian to Hunan so it's quite interesting to have an oolong varietal grown in an oolong terroir transplanted to Hunan and produced as a black tea.  I would say the experiment worked really well!
