We are delighted to offer Golden Angels Black Tea from Myanmar (also called Burma). This exceptional tea exhibits abundant honey tones with a long-lasting sweet finish. The dry leaves offer enticing aromas of dried fruits, butter, and breezy meadows. Once steeped, the liquor is exceptionally smooth and mouthwatering, revealing notes of spice and malt with a pure, vibrant energy.

This tea comes to us from Pan Kaung Kin, a small tea producer in the picturesque city of Pyin Oo Lwin in Myanmar's Mandalay Region. While we are deeply grateful to source this tea, acquiring teas from Myanmar remains challenging due to the country's ongoing political situation. Myanmar is one of the world's most landmine-infested countries, and the nationwide infrastructure faces significant challenges affecting tea production and transport. The ongoing armed conflict since the 2021 military coup has further complicated the tea industry throughout the country.

Despite these obstacles, dedicated tea producers like Pan Kaung Kin continue their craft, creating exceptional teas that showcase Myanmar's rich tea heritage.
