2024 Forest Hill Ceylon Silver Needle White Tea
This Sri Lankan white tea from the folks at Forest Hill is super clean and absolutely gorgeous. The taste is light and fragrant with a permeating sense of deep refreshment, soft florals, and summer grasses. The buds for this tea were painstakingly picked by hand in (non-certified) organic gardens. The buds were then slowly air-dried in a very thin layer using a piece of equipment custom designed solely for this particular Ceylon Silver Needle tea.
Forest Hill is one of our favorite producers. They make teas with a lot of heart, passion, and integrity. Their partners (growers, pluckers) and tea artisans (people on staff who have learned to make the teas) make many times the going rate. Forest Hill also spends a lot of time teaching their partners how to transition to organic and biodiverse gardens. They are a bright light in the Sri Lankan tea industry.
