Choan Matcha from the Marukyu Koyamaen Company is fantastically complex and smooth with deep, resounding flavors and aromas. It is one of the highest grade offerings from the Marukyu Koyamaen lineup - a company with a 300 year history making Uji matcha.
It is exquisitely well-blended, with the savoriness and sweetness delicately balancing each other. The tea lands soft and sweet in the palate. Suitable for both thick and thin tea.
Marukyu Koyamaen has won the first prize in Japan's National Tea Competition 22 times. Their teas are highly regarded, used in many tea schools, shrines, and temples throughout Japan.
Each order is for 20 grams which is approximately ten bowls of thin tea using a traditional 2 gram serving.
