2007 Haiwan Old Tree Raw Puerh - Traditional Storage
This dank big fella is super smooth and sweet - a great candidate for an easy going, satisfying, slightly elevated daily drinker. It's had some traditional storage, so if you enjoy Yee On teas, you'll likely enjoy this 2007 Haiwan as well. The storage on this is a bit less dank than Yee On's traditional storage.
The overall vibe is comfy and sweet with a bit of interesting pastry spice aromatics, dark sugars, and a feeling of walking through a forest in winter (should you be so lucky). The wet leaves smell of straight up beets and basement, but the liquor itself is very well integrated and balanced. The storage on this did exactly what it was meant to do - smooth out any rough edges and make something highly drinkable and smooth.
Each cake is 500 grams. Wrappers are not pristine.
