Tsubokiri Sencha by Marukyu Koyamaen
Tsubokiri Sencha from Marukyu Koyamaen is a seasonal autumn release available only in the autumnal months. "Tsubokiri" refers to spring-harvested tea that's aged through summer, then opened in autumn—a process that mellows the tea and develops deeper flavor. This sencha strikes a lovely balance between crisp and rich, with smooth vegetal tones and a very comfortable mouthfeel. It's exceptionally smooth and mellow, with clean, well-integrated flavors and a lightly sweet finish.
Each bag contains 80 grams. Marukyu Koyamaen, founded in 1704 in Uji, has won over twenty-two first prizes in Japan's National Tea Competition.
