Monkeytail Premium Orange Pekoe from Sri Lanka
We have a small amount of this super fresh, entirely handmade tea from Monkeytail Tea in Sri Lanka. Tasting notes include quite prominent aromatics of citrus peel with a soft astringency. The feeling is light and clean, while still being in the class of more European style black teas (such as an English Breakfast type). You can really taste the difference in the tea compared to pretty much all other non-artisan Ceylon teas.
This is a tea best drunk on its own or perhaps with a bit of sweetener but likely no milk or milk alternative.
Made from old growth tea plants which are grown without any pesticides or herbicides. 2025 harvest and production.
