2008 Pu Tian Yuan Menghai Raw Puerh

This 2008 Menghai Raw Puerh is a solid mid-aged raw selection from Pu Tian Yuan, which they made on a commission for a Shanghai business person.  The aromatics on the tea are lovely and sweet with notes of vanilla with a bit of face powder, while the overall flavor has a woody quality.  There is certainly a strong backbone to the tea, which can be tempered with shorter steeps in the early part of the session.

This tea is suitable for drinking now and will also likely benefit from even more time in storage.  

Natural Guangdong storage until 2018, then it went to Texas to chill out until now.
