2008 Dayi Hong Yun Ripe Puerh - 100 gram mini cake
This little mini ripe puerh cake is well known, particularly among people who enjoy Dayi (or Menghai) ripe tea productions. The 2008 version is the very first release of this classic cake, which was released to commemorate the 68th anniversary of the founding of the Menghai (now called Dayi) Tea Factory.
This puerh is on the lighter and very smooth side of ripe. The Hong Yun series is a lighter piled cake so the tea steeps a beautiful dark ruby colored tea. It has a creamy, nutty, sweet quality that's very pleasant.
