  • Honey Bee Black Tea from Laos

Honey Bee black tea feels like a sturdy and handy friend to have along for the ride.  The tea steeps big bodied and rustic, but still smooth with notes of leather, malt, cherry and other dried fruit, and a bit of wood.  The leaves are big and chunky, very healthy looking.

Honey Bee is reminiscent of bold sun-dried big leaf Yunnan black tea, which is not surprising since this tea is grown in the Meung District of Bokeo Province - very near Yunnan.  The area is mountainous, with a mix of ancient tea trees (some very, very old) and some new growth, seed-grown tea plants from forest trees.

Harvested 2022, no pesticides or other agri-chemical inputs were used on these plants.
