Yabe-Mura light steamed sencha is from Yabe village in the Yame Mountains. The tea is a hand-picked yabukita varietal with a very short shading (four days) to boost the deep green color of the needles and increase umami without resorting to a longer steaming process.
The tea itself has a very refined quality. The soup is very fresh and light, has a sweet aroma, and a balanced umami and just a hint of astringency.
This is a very high quality, single garden, hand-picked, and unblended yabukita sencha.
Grown using organic methods but is not certified organic.
