White Peony (Organic)
White Peony is a cousin to Silver Needle. In China it is known as bai mudan or mutan. It frequently comes from the same cultivars, but is usually a later picking and includes a bud and one or two leaves instead of just buds. There are traces of some oxidation that gives the tea more strength than Silver Needle.
This is the perfect tea for those who love the light sweet astringency-free taste of white tea with a little more body. It is a good white tea for everyday drinking.
Use 2 grams of tea for every 6 ounces of water. Generally this works out to 2 teaspoons per every 6 ounces of water. Steep for 3 minutes with 180-degree water.
