This is a rather unusual dancong (dancong is a specific type of oolong from the Phoenix Mountains in Guangdong Province), with a focus on comforting and comfortable sweet potato like grounding sweetness with buttered fruit aromatics. Many dancongs are oriented to really showstopping high florals and high fruits, but this dancong seems like the one you want to go home to at night. It's got lovely gentle spice notes that come out around the third infusion.
This batch has been charcoal roasted three times over 2020 and is now ready to drink. Grown in organic gardens at about 900 meters elevation, 2020 Spring harvest.
