Japan is known for its excellent green teas. It is also known for the care and skill they bring to the tea growing and manufacturing arenas. This flavored black tea is an excellent example of how that care and skill can transfer to other types of tea. Sakura is the Japanese name for the Japanese ornamental cherry tree prunus serrulata. Sakura is used in spring displays and festivals in Japan, and now in tea. It is a wonderful combination of black tea and cherry blossoms and leaves. Use 2 grams of tea for every 6 ounces of water. Generally this works out to a teaspoon per every 6 ounces of water. Steep for 3 minutes with boiling water. This tea is tasty as is or with milk and/or sweetener.
