This is a monsoon black tea. Monsoons usually occur just after a short summer season in Nepal. When the monsoon arrives, the tea bushes planted in the hills where this tea is grown feed very little, creating a mild black tea. This tea undergoes a long oxidization to give it strength. Then it is naturally dried for several hours and finally wood fired. The result is a very balanced cup of tea that will please any black tea lover.
Use 2 grams of tea for every 6 ounces of water. Generally this works out to a teaspoon per every 6 ounces of water. Steep for 4 minutes with boiling water. This tea is tasty as is or with milk and/or sweetener.
