Jia Long Oolong
Our customers and staff at the restaurants are overjoyed when we are able to procure some of this very rare gem from Taiwan.
Hand-picked and handmade with intense honey notes and a smooth, rich texture. Nearly fully oxidized. This is actually a GABA oolong, which technically means it was not oxidized with oxygen, but rather nitrogen (We know... that's a contradiction but bear with us). This process lends the tea a concentrated sweetness. A couple of years' aging rounds out the tea even more.
Only a very limited amount remains.
Use 2 grams of tea for every 6 ounces of water. Generally this works out to a teaspoon per every 6 ounces of water. Steep for 3 minutes with 190-degree water.
