Dinjoy Estate First Flush Assam
When we talk about Assams, we hardly ever talk about first flushes. The selling points for Assam teas are their strength and body. But that may be a mistake, at least in our Dinjoy 1st Flush. When we tasted this we were struck by how smooth this tea was without sacrificing body. Unlike most Assam teas, this one was an excellent self drinker, not needing milk or sugar to supplement the experience. Dinjoy is one of the older tea estates with records of its existence going back to as far as 1841. It is located in the famous Dibrugarh District in the Brahmaputra River Valley.
Use 2 grams of tea for every 6 ounces of water. Generally this works out to a teaspoon per every 6 ounces of water. Steep for 4 minutes with boiling water. This tea is tasty as is or with milk and/or sweetener.
