Twelve years of aging in Taiwan has given this 2003 Yiwu sheng pu-erh a great start toward middle age. Made by the China Thusu Yunnan Tea Import and Export Co. (under CNNP) using Da Yeh (large leaf assamica) leaves.
Pours a nice amber to start. Medium to light compression - it's fairly easy to break open the cake. Energy is great - on the calming side. Huigan comes quickly. Tastes of wood, leather, and spice with a lovely dark sweetness. Highly recommended if you enjoy moderately aged sheng pu-erh.
