Ajiri Kenyan Black
If you like to embrace strong tea and a noble cause at the same time this is the tea for you. This is a beautiful, fine-grained CTC black tea from Kenya that is rich tasting with plenty of caffeine for any tea lover.
This tea company was conceived of by an American woman named Sara Holby. After graduating from college, Sara took a job with an NGO in Kenya. While there, she discovered that Kenyan women had difficulty finding employment. She wanted to do something to alleviate that problem. It was then she conceived the idea, with the help and support of her mother, of forming a tea company to employ women. The outcome was Ajiri Tea.
Ajiri means employment in Swahili. Ajiri Tea is a non-profit company and any excess revenue goes to the education of children in the Western Kenyan area where Ajiri Tea is located. So we encourage you to buy this tea. Make a pot, and warm your body as well as your heart.
Use 2 grams of tea for every 6 ounces of water. Generally this works out to a teaspoon per every 6 ounces of water. Steep for 3 minutes with boiling water. This tea is excellent with milk.
