2024 Cloud Bud
Our 2024 Cloud Bud Chinese green tea hails from Huping Mountain, Hunan Province. Made in a very narrow harvest window of just 8 days this spring. The tea is silky and sweet, rather delicate with a touch of tropical fruits in the aromatics and notes of papaya in the wet leaf. The tea liquor is a lovely pale yellow with a very clean finish and smooth aftertaste. Absolutely no undesirable astringency.
This is an early spring (pre-Qing Ming) pluck from about 750 meters elevation. The cloud and mist covered mountain produces exceptionally sweet and nuanced tea.
