The 2014 Star of Menghai from the Dayi Tea Factory is a smooth ripe puerh made from a very tippy blend of leaves that have gone through a lighter than normal fermentation. It is a warming, complex, and stimulating tea. You might pick up on prominent woody, dark chocolate, and even slightly nutty (walnut) aromatics. The tea has a very pleasant buttery, caramel-y mouthfeel.
