2007 Dayi/Menghai Hong Zhuang Ripe Puerh

2007 Dayi/Menghai Hong Zhuang Ripe Puerh is an elegant specimen.  The tea is moderately tippy, medium fermented and very lively in the mouth.  The tea liquor is a beautiful burgundy with much clarity and brightness.  The Hong Zhuang has a lot of patience and takes a little while to open up as the compression is relatively tight.

Tasting notes of camphor, dark berries, roots, cola, and overall sweet with some wood tones.  It's not a full on earthy style ripe puerh,   The mouthfeel and throat feel are great, very lively and present.  The tea overall is fairly energizing.
