2004 Yiwu Mountain Pu-erh
Yiwu is a town and a mountain famous for pu-erh tea. It is in Xishuangbanna, which is the southern part of the Yunnan Province. Pu-erhs from the Yi Wu mountain area were highly prized by Emperor Qiang Long, and that admiration continues to be shared by contemporary pu-erh lovers. Pu-erhs from Yi Wu tea leaves are known for their gentle and mild character, flavor and good aging characteristics. This particular selection offers pleasing fruitiness with the quintessential Yunnan backbone.
Use 2 to 3 grams of tea for every 6 ounces of water. Generally this works out to a teaspoon per every 6 ounces of water. For the first infusion, use boiling water for 1 to 2 minutes. Add 15 to 30 seconds for every subsequent infusion. You should infuse this tea multiple times.
