1995 Tuhsu Broad Leaf Pu-erh
This is a fine-looking aged or sheng pu-erh from the China TUHSU Import and Export Company. It is made from the famous da ye cultivar, a broad leafed cultivar found in the Yunnan province of China. TUSHU was formed originally in 1938 under a different name. It has been a strong proponent of pu-erh teas ever since. This tea is 20 years old and exhibits all the graces and flavors of a well aged pu-erh. It has a wonderful peaty, smoky flavor with fantastic structure.
Use 2 to 3 grams of tea for every 6 ounces of water. Generally this works out to a teaspoon per every 6 ounces of water. For the first infusion, use boiling water for 1 to 2 minutes. Add 15 to 30 seconds for every subsequent infusion. You should infuse this tea multiple times.
