Kabuse-Cha Green from Uji, Japan

Kabuse-Cha is a type of Japanese green tea that is essentially a midway point between sencha and gyokuro.  It is partially shaded, but not as long as gyokuro.  This makes the tea high in umami, rich, and buttery.

Our Kabuse-Cha is made from a blend Uji-Hikari, Uji Midori, Goko, and Okumidori tea plants and shows no abrasiveness.  The tea steeps very sweet, well-balanced with its savory aspects and a lingering umami finish.  It's bright and refreshing, buttery with a notable green bean vegetal aroma.
