AMBA Estate Slow Withered Pan-Roast Green Tea from Sri Lanka
The Slow Withered Pan-Roast Green Tea from Sri Lanka is another AMBA Estate gem. This is a one leaf, one bud hand-plucked tea grown at 1000 meters elevation on organic farmland in the Uva Mountains. The leaf is allowed to wither overnight, which lends the green tea more of an oolong quality than a straight up vegetal green. There is a light citrusy aroma with hints of pine, butter, and barely ripe peaches. Very crisp and refreshing with a lingering aftertaste and fairly full body.
