Rare Orchid Wuyi Black Tea (Qi Lan Hong Cha)

Rare Orchid Wuyi black tea, from teamaker Cindy Chen, is a gorgeous, highly aromatic tea made from a varietal of tea bush (Qi Lan, which means 'rare orchid) that is almost always used to make a rock oolong.  The Qi Lan plant has a natural beautiful floral aroma that is beautifully transformed by the full oxidation of the black tea making process.  The tea is smooth and naturally sweet with notes of honeyed toast, berry, herbs, and just a touch of coconut.
